VP of Sales

Tranquilo is a dynamic, fast-paced startup that is committed to helping babies and parents. Tranquilo has created a market-disruptive baby-soothing device that initiates a baby’s calming response by mimicking the sounds and motions of a mother’s womb. We believe our product helps new parents facilitate better bonds with their babies and empowers them with the tools they need to create more peaceful households. We are looking for an eager, self-starting VP of Sales to join our team! The position is responsible for developing and implementing Tranquilo’s sales strategy and new distribution channels, managing sales budgets, and overseeing client accounts.

Responsibilities include:

--Develop and execute Tranquilo, Inc.’s go-to-market sales strategies, sales plan, and processes in US and Canada.
--Meet and exceed sales targets with a focused and smart sales strategy.
--Facilitate and oversee relationships with independent and big-box retailers.
--Design sales funnel including building customer personas, identifying prospects, generating communications, and executing outreach.
--Identify and pursue and oversee new distribution channels.
--Partner with Tranquilo’s marketing team to represent Tranquilo’s voice.
--Attend industry trade show events (light travel) and execute all pre-and post event solicitation.
--Monitor competitive and market activity and provide feedback and recommendations to executive team.
--Compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities.
--Hire and manage regional sales reps.
--Negotiate contracts and terms.
--Manage sales budgets.

Our ideal candidate:
--Has 5 years of sales management experience.
--Maintains excellent writing, verbal communication, and language skills.
--Practices superior time management.
--Is comfortable working remotely.
--Experience in baby consumer goods industry preferred but not required.
--Is a self-starter who can take initiative and work independently.
