Five Reasons Why You Can't Miss MassChallenge UK's Startup Showcase and Minute to Pitch It
Our full cohort will be present
This is by far and away the best chance to meet our startups. The first half of the day will be Startup Showcase, an exposition-style presentation by each of our entrepeneuers, so everyone who attends will be able to walk up and speak with the founders about their innovations. They’re eager to present to the London community, and you should be just as excited to meet them!
We’re bringing a crowd
Last year these two events collectively totaled over 700 attendees. With the unified format for this year, you can assume it will be an equally electric atmosphere. This means a strong performance from London’s entrepreneurial and tech communities, which means more opportunities to interact with the local business ecosystem.
This isn’t your grandfather’s showcase
Maybe you’ve been to a lot of showcases, or maybe this is your first. We’re mixing business with pleasure on November 3rd, as the startups take the stage in all forms of attire and performance. There are rumors swirling around Tobacco Dock about who will steal the show this year, but if they want to top 2015 they’ll need more than a chicken suit and an acoustic guitar pitch.
There’s something for everyone
Our cohort of 100 startups is incredibly diverse - both in the backgrounds of the founders and their respective industries. They’re an international group that covers healthcare, high tech, clean energy, social impact, and many more. On top of that, we’re very proud of the fact that 42 of our 100 startups are female founded. That’s head and shoulders above the average for UK entrepreneurs.
Most showcases will run you over £1,000 to meet the same number and calibre of startups. For Startup Showcase and Minute to Pitch It, you won’t be breaking the bank in order to attend – both events are free. This means you get prime access to our cohort just by registering for the event - so what excuse do you have?
